I am very pleased with that registry entry. It removed that annoying icon of Nero Scout out of the folder My Computer. Does Nero Scout no longer exist in my machine? If so, god bless!

Thanks I hate programs that dont have full uninstall solutions, especially demo's.
The program wont uninstall using the remove programs window either it says there is some error and stops. Appreciate the fix, I was sick of seeing that icon on my computer.

here is another way aswell…

Open RegEdit then go to the following KEY and delete it…

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace\{3D6BE802-FC0D-4595-A304-E611F97089DC}

and NERO SCOUT is gone…

Another THANK YOU. I so fucking hate when companies think it's cool to install crap that I don't want and don't even bother providing instruction on how to remove the stuff. Every time I instal Windows and then apps I waste good 30 minutes removing all the crap Adobe, Ahead, Creative and others put in the system. Adam.

trouble with getting rid of nero 7 demo, stupid mistake, all programs are deleted, but add/remove installer states its still there, tried removing it, no luck, it states it needs nero.msi, but no lukc wiuth that either..yougot any ideas?

The Nero Scout has issues with Microsoft Picture It and Photoshop. This fix, fixes the problem. Keep up the great work, dude. Thanks!!

The latest April 24?) Nero 7 is even worse! I can't get their thing off the task bar.

A user in afterdawn had the solution to getting it off the taskbar. Open Scout from the task bar, select "options", then check the box to enable Scout. Once enabled the two checkboxes below can be unchecked. Uncheck them, uncheck the "Enable Scout" box, and it goes away.

i still have the icon on taskbar. tried the options but it says "initialization error:please install nero again"? now what?

Reinitialize it, then follow TripK's tip, then remove it again

Can someone help, please? :) I am trying to remove Nero 7 Demo but it keeps coming up that my "Shellbase is corrupt or missing". I've tried to repair, re-install, no luck. Nero sent the remove all tool but that bloody thing was no good either. HELP! PLEASE :)
