They don't have torrents. Do not pay $10 under the pretense that you will be able to download files. There are no files for download at Something Awful.

However, being part of the Something Awful forum community is worth $10. If you don't register, you can't post, but you can read most of the forums. There are a few hidden forums that become accessible once you are registered. $10 is for the privilege to post and see the few hidden forums (such as FYAD or TCC). If you sign up, make sure you enter custom title text, or else you'll get a stupid newbie avatar. Avatars cost $5 extra once you've signed up. Visit the main page and look around, view the forums for a while, and lurk. Lurk for a long time. If you don't know the rules or you make a rookie mistake, you will be promptly put on probation or banned (with no refunds).

Alluvion is a third-party site that is not at all affiliated with Something Awful - but it is run by one or more Something Awful members, and it is for Something Awful members. There are no illegal files for download at Alluvion.

You have to be a member of Something Awful ($10 USD) in order to become a member of Alluvion (free) but you won't really need a torrent any more. The torrents were important when the Microsoft download servers were getting swamped. There's no need for that now - you can just download Vista Beta straight from Microsoft. --- http://download.windowsvista.com/preview/beta2/en/x86/download.htm
